Afroman Announces He’s Running for President in 2024

Afroman is wading into the political fray for 2024 — and not just for local office either … the guy’s going for the big enchilada to potentially become the next President of the United States!

The rapper made the big announcement this weekend at a concert of his in Poplar Bluff, MO … where he told a packed house at the Black River Coliseum about his plan to run for POTUS, going up against the likes of Donald Trump and whoever else will be in the race.

Although it may seem like a joke, we are told that he is serious. The crowd loved it and cheered Afroman on as the first major policy he announced — the legalization of marijuana in the country. In another video, he reiterated the platform, emphasizing that this is not a prank and that he has Oval Office aspirations.

Afroman’s weed vision is cool and all, but not all that revolutionary these days. Frankly, the herb’s already allowed recreationally in 21 states and medicinally in a lot of others.

It’s not clear where he stands on other domestic issues, but we expect to find out in the future. We are told that he is running as an independent candidate.

We don’t yet have any evidence that Afroman filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission in order to make it official. However, his camp claims it is.

Of course, he wouldn’t be the first MC to throw his hat in the ring — Kanye West did in 2020, and seems primed to do it again in 2024 … or as Afroman puts it, 20-20-FRO!!!

Campaign season is still a ways off, so make sure you have more than 2 ZigZags. This one is going to be slow and tedious!
